The State Republican Party is currently deciding on which dates to hold Caucus Night, State Convention, and Primary Elections in 2014. This is a complex decision with many variables that must be considered. There are Federal Election Laws and State Election laws that must be met as part of this decision. As a member of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party representing North and West Utah County, this is an important decision that I will help the State Party make.
This is one of the topics that I will also discuss with fellow Republicans at the Summer Republican Party Picnics in Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain. This year’s Summertime Republican Pot Luck Picnics will be held at Saratoga Spring’s Neptune Park on Thursday, August 8th from 6 to 9; and at Eagle Mountain’s Nolan Park pavilion on Wednesday August 7th from 6 to 9 pm. I am conducting a survey on my web site http://www.DavidLifferth.com, and would like to have you register you recommendation so that it can be included as part of this important decision making process. You can select 1 of 3 options, or provide another option if you see fit. Here are the 3 options:
By selecting the best date, we can get the most Republican Participation.
Here is some background information from State Party Chair James Evans:

I need your feedback regarding our caucus and convention schedule Recently I made a presentation to the Republican Senate and House Caucuses of the Utah Legislature regarding our upcoming caucus and convention schedule for 2014. Our caucus night is scheduled on March 20, 2014 and the Utah Republican Party convention is scheduled on April 19, 2014 (Please see attachment). As a result of the compressed time schedule I presented our Republican legislators with three options based on feedback from members of the State Central Committee:
With your help we will make the decision that is best for Utah.
You are welcome to contact State Party Leadership, other members of the State Central Committee, or discuss this with me directly.
Thanks for helping us make this important decision for the Republican Party,
Rep. Dave Lifferth
