Don't forget about the "well regulated" portion of the 2nd Amendment.

Utah is already a constitutional carry state.  This proposed bill is superfluous.  We don't have a problem with people being unable to carry firearms if they so desire.

Thomas, in Utah it is currently illegal to have a concealed gun in Utah unless you have permit. You can open carry, but that is a different issue.

Are we actually prosecuting it?  I'm certain it's a misdemeanor, although I always that if a firearm wasn't loaded then it wasn't even that.  I guess I could be wrong about that.  But still if people want to carry a firearm, barring previous criminal activity, then they can.  Even if they have to take a class and fill out an application.
