Photos from last week of 2014 Legislative Session

These are just a few of the photos that I took during the last week of 2014 Legislative Session.

Working in the Utah Senate with Senator Stuart Adams to get my HB133 Contingency Plans for National Parks and Federal Facilities passed. It passed unanimously in both the House and the Senate.

The family of slain Utah County Sheriff Cory Wride visit the capitol with Governor Gary Herbert, Rep. Mike McKell, Heather Jackson, Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox, Mayor Christ Pengra, Utah County Sheriff Jim Tracy, and Rep. David Lifferth.

The Legislative Committee that investigated fmr. A.G. John Swallow released it's findings with over 200 pages of report and over 3,700 exhibits.

I voted for Sen. Aaron Osmond's SB39, which passed the house 53-17. If it had passed in the house before my HB77 failed by 2 1/2 votes, then I probably could have had more support.

In what was unusual Political Theater, Rep. Kraig Powell (R-Heber) reads from the Sesame Street book "The Monster at the end of the book." I actually had this book when I was a child.
