Utah has its 2nd ever Professional Major Leage Championship. (The only previous professional championship was the 1971 Utah Stars of the old ABA baskeball league) Real Salt Lake beat the LA Galaxy to win the Major League Soccer championship. Blog: Report on Utah Lake Commission meeting 11/19/09

Today was the last Utah Lake Commission Meeting for the year. The meeting in December has been canceled.



One of the main events of today's meeting was the Utah Lake Carp Removal video report. It is interesting to see the steps that being taken to solve this problem. I am definitely in agreement with the goals of improving the lake by removing 5 million pounds of carp each year.

I have been getting the Provo meeting assigments, while Ryan Ireland gets the Salt Lake assignments. This meeting was held at the Provo Marriot.



This full project will cost taxpayers $2.5 billion and 40% already complete. This project is spending $3 million per day into local economy.



When finished, the Frontlines 2015 project represents 70 miles of new track in the next 7 years.

I got a phone call from the blood donation folks this past week requesting that I donate a pint of blood. The reason they called me is that there is a newborn that needs to have surgery this next week and that I was a match for blood type and that I was CMV negative. I had heard that I was CMV negative (CMV-) before when I have given blood, but I wasn’t sure what it meant.
