Planned Parenthood Action Council of Utah sent me a survey to determine if I could receive their support in my campaign for state office. You be the judge if there is any chance that will happen.

I posed a question to the Utah County Delegates from LD2 as to which committees they felt that I should serve on. Below are the results of that survey that I conducted on my web site.

The biggest news to come out of the Utah State GOP Convention (4/22/2012) was that Mayor Mia Love won the nomination at convention with 70% of the vote. Republicans rallied together to provide a unified team effort to defeat Jim Matheson. Here, Mia is standing with Carl Wimmer after Carl pledged his support to help Mia defeat Matheson. Mia had previously stood with Steve…Continue

I would like to thank Mayor Heather Jackson for nominating me and Derek Warner for seconding that nomination. And then thanks to all of the County Delegates from Legislative District 2 for voting me as the Republican Party…Continue

I am frequently critical of Microsoft and every other out-of-touch monolithic corporation.
However, yesterday I had one of the best customer services experience and wanted to give them due credit for taking care of their customer. This very positive customer service event came right after a very poor experience with Lenovo, so I got to compare them in a true side-to-side comparison.
In addition to solving a tricky security problem very quickly, the Microsoft…Continue

I have been asked a lot of questions about my political philosophy lately. When asked about my political philosophy on my support for business, it is easy to answer.
I believe in a level playing field. I don't believe in Crony Capitalism or Crony Educationalism or Crony anything. I believe when Government picks winners and losers, everyone loses.
I want the best ideas, the hardest workers, and most innovative minds, the best team work, the best plans, the most…Continue

I got to attend the Groundbreaking for the new Middle School that is being built in Eagle Mountain. The school doesn't have an official name yet and is referred to as "New Eagle Mountain Middle School" even though the name on the poster was "Eagle Valley Middle School". The day was cloudy and overcast and there was a bit of a chilly breeze.

If the results of the County Commissioner poll by LD2 County Delegates on my web site are accurate, then Incumbent Larry Ellertson may be able to win the Republican Party nomination at the County Convention on April 14th.
Commissioner Ellertson received a full 60% of the votes, followed by John Morris with 20%. Larry Ballard, who is not a Republican…Continue

One of the interesting developments out of the Utah Republican Caucuses was the high turnover of delegates from the previous delegates that were elected in 2010. There were 2 articles that I read that put the delegate retention rates at between 13% and 20%based on how the Tribune and Utah Policy Daily (as reported by David Hansen of the Hatch…Continue
