Blog: Update on Transportation Projects in our area

I got an letter today from UDOT with an update on Tranportation Projects. While the report covers all transportation projects in the state of Utah, over half of them are projects in our are.

I have run a survey on my site for the past month that asked the question: Should EM pass an ordinance to allow elected officials to accept gifts or loans from developers in excess of $50?



With the survey and email responses I have received over 30 responses to the question. Over 90% replied with a resounding NO. SALT LAKE CITY -- The number of mortgage fraud cases has reached an all time high in the U.S.



A report by the Mortgage Asset Research Institute shows a 26 percent increase in the number of cases between 2007 and 2008.

Blog: Congratulations to Rockwell Charter High School - Charter High School State Champions in Basketball

We need to recognize the impressive accomplishment of the Rockwell Charter High School boy’s basketball team. In their first year as a school, they won the state championship in boy’s basketball for charter schools.



Their season record their first year was 15 wins and 3 losses.



In the championship game they defeated the Pinnacle Charter School by a score of 77 to 44.
